Kiel + Wedel Reception | 06.07.2019.

We love weddings that have unique ideas and challenge us to try new things and this wedding brought it all to the table! Anna and Nate’s wedding used a color scheme of timeless ivory with dusty rose accents and accented with fresh white and soft pink floral. The wedding was decorated by Celebrations, Rent-All in Sioux Center and Something Borrowed of Alton, who made the reception gorgeous with an abundance of flowers, candles, and an amazing king’s table as the focal point of the event.

Placed in the center of the main hall and embellished with three chandeliers, the twenty-one seat king’s table was surrounded by the additional 376 guests on both floors of the venue. The use of round tables on the main floor and long tables upstairs created a spacious feel at this near-max capacity reception. Charcuterie boards with delicious meats, cheeses, and  homemade candied walnuts from the bride’s grandma were placed at every table for guests to enjoy while waiting for the bridal party to arrive and dinner to be served. A delectable trio of smoked meats and comfort side dishes of baked beans, cheesy potatoes, and homemade coleslaw were served by Hecks BBQ out of Vermillion, SD. Guests were greeted for social hour on the patio of the garden pavilion with a lemonade bar, which featured 5 different flavors of lemonade: blackberry mango, strawberry kiwi, grapefruit mango, blood orange peach, and a classic raspberry lemonade. Each lemonade mocktail was crafted, shaken, and served on the spot for a unique, classy experience for all guests.

After dinner, the night carried on with the traditional cake cutting ceremony, a video, and speeches. The matrons of honor (the bride’s two older sisters), gave a memorable rap toast to the tune of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” theme song. The fun continued into the night thanks to The White Keys, a cover band from Minneapolis, playing live music for all to enjoy. Every special moment throughout the day was captured by Jessica Bonestroo Photography and Lauren McDonald Film + Photo.  At the end of the night sparklers were lit for Nate and Anna to be sent off to their honeymoon by friends and family in picturesque fashion. We absolutely loved getting to be a part of this magical wedding and helping make Anna + Nate’s special day perfect!
